Broadway Junction (L, A, C, J, Z)
The Bed-Stuy x Bushwick scene ends at this stop; now, you’re in Cypress Hills.
This stop gives you access to a big cemetery, but other than that, the area is mostly industrial construction, with some basketball courts and a lot of graffiti.
Aesthetically, think: barbed wire.
The expansive Evergreen Cemetery can be nice for a stroll, and it’s main entrance is off this stop, at the intersection of Conway St and Bushwick Ave. But, beware of its short hours.
Other than that, the stop sits at a corner of a small, triangular park, with a playground and some basketball courts. If you want greenery, though, you’ll have to go to where the dead people are.
On Fulton St, the bottom perimeter of the triangular park off the stop, you’ll find some street art, but graffiti is more common.
This stop in a nutshell: the train, a sign for graveyard headstones, barbed wire, and some graffiti.
The entrance to the Evergreen Cemetery. As you can see, Project472 arrived after closing time.
A rare moment where street art appears among the graffiti.
The train station visible beyond the basketball courts.
Industrial construction underneath and around the station.
Some slightly residential vibes around the stop.
Bye for now, Broadway Junction!
